While deciding on baby gear can be a lot like buying a car, buying a car is still a lot harder. In addition to the price negotiation part, you have to sort through many models, options and extras to narrow down to the vehicle that fits your lifestyle, budget, car seats and strollers.
But here’s some good news: If you’re in the market for a new family vehicle, today’s hint is a list that can help make the decision of which one to get a little easier. The editors at Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) just released their new list of the 15 Best Family Cars of 2015.
To come up with their recommendations, KBB.com editors partnered with real families, and evaluated vehicles “on comfort and driving, safety, child seats, cargo space, rear-seat entertainment, and extra features.” For instance, the editors tested out installing car seats, stuffing cargo areas and folding seats to access third rows.
The final list contains vehicles from multiple categories, including minivans, sedans, sports-utility vehicles (SUVs) of various sizes and for the first time, full-size pickup trucks and compact cars. Here’s the full list:

I was pleased to see the new vehicle my husband and I just bought – the Toyota Highlander – made the list. We bought a new car because while we love our 2007 Honda Accord, it barely fits our two car seats and an extra person in the back seat. We opted for the 2015 Highlander because of its third row, and according to KBB.com, “Toyota’s midsize SUV combines seating for 8 with a bold look and cool features.” For more on the other models that made the list, check out KBB.com.
