I admit it. I’m lazy.
As the full-time working and pregnant mom of a 2 year old, I spend a lot of time on our couch when I’m at home hanging out with my daughter.
I just find it hard to muster up enough energy after a day of work to set up an elaborate crafting activity or engage in a prolonged dance party. So, as I’ve mentioned before, I’m a big fan of toddler activities that involve little prep, but that still are somewhat educational, or at least entertaining, for little ones.
If you’re lazy like me (and it’s okay to be lazy and laid back about parenting), today’s hint is a great resource for easy toddler activity inspiration: The posts in tumblr blog Growing Up Last’s Lazy Summer Parenting week.
In fact, I recently shared a bunch of my favorite easy activities over there – check out my full post, Three Very, Very Easy Toddler Activity Ideas. And here are some of the other easy activities covered in the series:
- This very smart trick for playing with your energetic child at a park without getting off the park bench.
- This reminder that it’s okay to just let your little child play while you watch and add occasional commentary (one of my favorite activities to do).
- These easy-to-implement ideas for keeping little ones entertained while you’re lying down on the couch.
- More on the benefits of a cardboard box, crayons and markers.
